The Hidden Cask Hunting Party

Some casks are meant to rest longer than others—tucked away in the quietest corners, gathering depth, richness, and character with every passing season. After seven years of patient aging, one such barrel is ready to emerge. Together in our Hunt Room, we’ll sample from hidden casks of exceptional Old Cavalier bourbon—deep with buttery toffee that coats the mouth, and hints of black pepper and cinnamon—and select one for bottling, exclusively for members.

While the 2025 Virginia Bourbon Invitational is already sold out, members who join now will enjoy guaranteed access to purchase a General Admission or VIP ticket for the 2026 event before the public ever gets the chance.

All tickets include tastings, food from some of the area’s best restaurants, access to a cash bar, access to the cigar bar and lounge, and live music throughout the event.

Tarnished Truth Discretion PX Sherry Cask Finished Bourbon

Finished in rich Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, this single-barrel bourbon is closely monitored by Head Distiller Justin Boyle — first sampled two weeks into the finishing process, then tasted every few days until the perfect balance is struck. The PX cask imparts a natural sweetness and layered depth, rounding out the pour with warmth and a lingering, velvety finish.

Tarnished Truth High Rye Single Barrel Bourbon

Bold yet beautifully balanced, this is the only barrel strength offering at Tarnished Truth Distillery—and this particular single barrel will be selected by members of The Cavalier Club during an exclusive tasting event. This release will not be available to the public and cannot be purchased anywhere else.

How do the membership options differ?

Family Membership

  • Includes membership for two people (one primary member plus one additional member).
  • Always grants access for two people at events.
  • Includes one carefully selected bottle per quarter, shared between both members.
  • Opportunity to purchase up to two distillery-exclusive releases per quarter* (one per member).
  • Unlimited free distillery tours for two people (when booked in advance).
  • Two votes during society town hall virtual events.
  • Guaranteed opportunity to purchase two general admission or VIP tickets to the 2026 Virginia Bourbon Invitational and each year after while your membership remains active.

Individual Membership

  • Designed for one person only.
  • Option to purchase a plus-one ticket for select events, based on availability.

Both memberships include one membership kit with the initial enrollment along with one new bottle each quarter to enjoy.

Can I bring a guest to events?

For select events (subject to availability), members may purchase plus-one tickets for $99 each.

  • Individual Plan members may purchase up to 1 guest ticket.
  • Family Plan members may purchase up to 2 guest tickets.
Do I have to pay for the bottles included in membership?

No, members don’t have to pay for the bottles included in the membership. As a member of The Cavalier Club, members will receive exclusive and unique bottles each quarter as part of their membership benefits—these are covered by their annual membership dues. Additionally, as a member, they will be among the first to know about special bottle releases before they are announced to the general public. While these special releases are available for purchase, member’s early access ensures they have the first opportunity to secure them.

How long will my bottle be held if I don’t pick it up?

There is a 90-day window to pick up your bottle in person.

For members in states where shipping is allowed, we’ll send a reminder before that window closes. If the bottle remains unclaimed, your subscription will be automatically updated to include the shipping option, and your card on file will be charged accordingly.

If you live in a no-shipping state, we reserve the right to cancel your membership and issue a prorated refund if the bottles have not been claimed after 90 days.

Are all states eligible for bottle shipping?

Due to varying state laws, members residing in Virginia, or in South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Utah, are required to pick up their bottles in person. Members in all other U.S. states may choose to have their bottles shipped for an additional fee.

If you live in a no-shipping state and are required to pick up your bottles in-person, they will be held at the distillery for 90 days from the date of your pickup notification. After 90 days, if the bottles have not been claimed, we reserve the right to cancel your membership and issue a prorated refund.

Can I change my membership?

Membership changes

You can change your membership from Individual to Family, and vice versa, based upon availability. Please just email our concierge team: concierge@thecavalierclub.vip

Membership cancellations

Membership can be canceled at any time, no questions asked. Members on the annual payment plan will receive a prorated refund for the remaining period of their subscription. For members on the quarterly payment plan, membership remains active until the end of the quarter and will not be charged for following quarters.

Membership transfers

Memberships cannot be transferred to anyone else.

Can my plus one purchase a bottle?

Depending on availability, members’ plus ones will be able to purchase an additional bottle at each member event. These must be purchased on-site and cannot be shipped.
